I doubt it -- more like WW2 Germany trying to absorb the Soviets;
all those "untermencschen" -- sorry, "gaijin" -- occupying the space
reserved for "our kind", while said "gaijin" are doing their level best
to *not* become Nihon subjects.
The truly scary part being that the OGREverse is the best possible
place to engage in "Final Solutions" -- human soldiers invariably
allow survivors, whether through incompetence or deliberate mal-
feasance; machines are far less likely to screw up, and will not rebel
(at least, not to preserve the humans...).
