My apologies to the list if this appears twice. I sent this reply to Alvin,
but I'm not sure if the email ever left my home address.

    Hello Alvin!

All of my local gaming buddies (Houston TX) confirm what you've said
here. It's a shame that no Deluxe Ogre\GEV was made.

I KNOW I had a copy or two of this game, but what I can't
understand, is what happened to them. Neither of my brothers played
wargames, so they either fell victim to flood damage or being lent to a
fellow gamer who forgot to return them.

Well, any flaws in the deluxe game I can compensate for since I have
at least one copy of each of the original Microgames, Ogre and Ogre\GEV,
and I do have a printing background (worked for the Houston Chronicle
for 18 years) so I would not have a problem with a small fix like that.

How much would you want for one of your copies or are you interested
in a barter? I have some games (not sure how many) that are also in
shrink wrap that you may or may not be interested in. Since I do have
to free up some space for recent family additions (a new wife and 2
kids) I'll be taking an inventory sometime today.
Let me know what avenue you might be interested in.

Great ideas, but time for me is a mitigating factor. I work two
jobs, job "A" I'm a helpdesk analyst 45 hours a week for Cooper Cameron
Oil Tool. Job "B" has me on ice 10-20 hours per week as a USA Ice
Hockey referee. And while I'm not a perfectionist, I am bit, uh, let's
say 'retentive' about details so I can look in the crystal ball and see
that I'd have to spend a lot more time working on this project that what
I have available.

If you're interested in selling either or both of your 'enlarged'
maps, I would be interested in buying those as well.

Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate all the advice here as I didn't
know that Kinko's offered such services. But presently I don't possess
the home printing facilities that you probably have available.

I'm always open for new gaming avenues, as boardgaming around here
has enjoyed a renaissance of late. I've been playing Third Reich one
Saturday a month with a friend of mine and we've both agreed to buy a
copy of the new Advanced Squad Leader Starter kit. I know that ASL is
way beyond my sons comprehension (it's close to being beyond mine!) but
who knows in a summer or two.

Holler back when you get a chance Alvin and in the mean time I'll
check out the links to the games above.

    Regards,

    Rob McClure
