http://www-cgsc.army.mil/carl/resources/csi/drea2/drea2.asp has
more details, plus maps which could be used to generate battle-
fields.

Generally speaking, the maps will look like _O_ maps, only w/out
craters (there's nothing there worth a CM). Combat will likely revolve
around supply lines; that is, expect lots of "blow up the Truck/town
hex" scenarios, involving Paneuro GEVs (taking up the role originally
played by the Soviet Air Force) vs. Chinese Archaic Armor/Infantry
(from _OM_). If the actual river is involved, Swamp hexes will border
the River hexes.

The Chinese will face much the same issues as the IJN did -- poor
logistics, and a foe with better equipment and personnel (relatively
speaking; as this is the Paneuro "backwater", their forces will likely
also have Archaic units, but leavened with Modern ones).

To start the war: Perhaps when the Combine invades Siberia (_GO_ 9,
sidebar), the Chinese take the opportunity to try and expand the
territories they "won" in the First Sino-European War (_GO_ 9). The
Chinese get hammered; Nihon sees this, and decides to finish them
off (_GO_ 15). The Chinese may have to be knocked back out of
Amurskaya in order for this to work properly, tho'.

When do the "modern" (Basic Game) units first come to be? And is
there an "archaic" version of the GEV (for the Chinese)?
