Ogre Fans,

Over the last few weeks, I've found myself thinking
about Ogre/GEV on a campaign scale. If you've
thought about the same thing, the first place you
ought to go is to the Ogre Campaigns page:

http://ogrecampaign.topcities.com/

But the point of this post is to bring attention
to the article, "Combined Strategic-Tactical Gaming",
by Brian McCue. It's not Ogre-specific, but it is
an _excellent_ article.

(I've scoured the web for all things Ogre/GEV
over the last week, so I've forgotten whose
site/post/BBS message I got this link from.
My appologies!)

For the record, after reading Mr. McCue's article,
I think that I'd favor something along the line of
either the "Deterministic Schedule" or the "Simple
Overgame" solution . . .

There's also an excellent article on the broader
repercussions of Ogres in this article on
Andrew Walter's "Ogre on the Brain" page entitled
"Strategic Use of Ogres":

More on this later. I hope this sparks some
discussion. Or at least brings up some previously
discussed dead ends for me to avoid.

Many thanks,
Doug Pearson "Bowser" pearsond at odsgc.net
