[Ogre] Original Doppelsoldner

[I'm cross-posting this from the Pyramid BBS.]
I've been a fan of Ogre for a long time (25+ years).
I have most of the Ogre products released over that
time, with the exception of the actual miniatures.
Evidently, I've missed something . . .
Can someone tell me where the Doppelsoldner was
first defined? I've seen several references to "the
original Dopp" which has (apparently) different stats
than the current version.
What I find as strange is that the version I am familiar
with (2 MB, 8 SB, 12 AP, 3 MRacks, 20 Miss., initial
move of 3 hexes [6"], 60 treads) is not only in GURPS
Ogre (Y2K), but also in Ogre Miniatures (1992).
I've been led to believe that this is the "improved"
Dopp. I've looked thru both edition of The Ogre Book,
Ogre Minis, old Space Gamers, SJ Games website, etc.
What are the stats for the "original Dopp" and where
did it first appear?
Thanks,
