IIRC from _GO_, after the collapse of Nihon, the Chinese "did what
they did to all previous invaders" and absorbed them.
Also, the Chinese are predominantly "last-gen" tech (in game terms,
lots of MIL, TRK, MBT, APC, and FA units, with a smattering -- say
maybe 10-25% -- of "modern" units). Anyone who's played Archaic
Armor vs. Modern Units knows that the AA side gets its a** whip-
ped nine times out of ten.

See previous remark -- the money which should be building China's
modern military units is instead bled from the body politic by the
inefficiency and corruption of the "mandarins" running the show.
(It is amazing to note that, regardless of what the Chinese call their
gov't, it's the Same D***ed Thing Every Time. Hmm....)

Perhaps capping Nihon INF units at ST2 counters, instead of the
ST3 every one else gets? (For _BS_, I calculated the "standard
infantry squad" as one Ranger suit, four Standards, and one of
either the Assault suit or Command suit -- a 3-squad platoon would
have one CMD, 2 AST, 12 STD, and 3 RGR suits. For a Nihon unit,
drop one of the AST-led squads, and replace with a "squad" of three
Attack Drones, three Bomb Drones, and three Recon Drones.) In
any and all particulars (for instance, INF carrying capacity of units),
a ST2 Nihon INF unit is treated as a ST3 unit of another race.
