One of the stranger facets of the Ogreverse is the Japanese conquest of
China.
>From a 2005 perspective it seems much more likely to be the other way
around, on the surface.
However there are items that are trending in Japan's favor.
First China's corrupt pseudo-communist government weakens and divides it.
>From lying about industrial accidents to stealing people's land, the
Communist Party of China is reducing the incentive for the people to work
with it for the sake of China.
And on the other side, Japan is starting to take interesting steps.
Japan is moving to cooperate with the United States on the highest level
of military technology.

Also as stated in Gurps Ogre, the Japanese like working with robots.

I think the best way to model this is to have many more drones and fewer
humans assigned to Japanese infantry units.
This wouldn't be all that apparent on the scale of GEV, but it should show
up in Battlesuit.
