Even if the bridges were up you could have cut them with a LGEV for 3 points.

8.04 "however a bridge is automatically distroyed if fired at from one of
its own hexes"

So your LGEV moves to G1913 and fires on the bridge, doing a number on any
Ogre in G2013 and then zips off during its second movement phase.
