That's a good idea.

Even better is for somone to design a map and allow free
redistribution.  They could even offer it by mail order at big scale
for a fee.

My question is, would making it geomorphic with the GEV map be
copyright infringment?  My gut feeling is "probably", though its a
shame that about 128 bytes of edge data constitute something under
copyright.  On the other hand, it would be better to start with
something fully geomorphic, rather than the half-geomorphism of GEV.
