What we know about infantry in the OgreVerse:
1. They survive battles with Ogres and armor, even overruns.
2. Their life span on the battlefield is not that long.

What we don't know about infantry in the OgreVerse:
1. Has any individual soldier ever survived his enlistment?
2. Does the battlesuit actually protect the man or does it just keep him 
combat effective?

The battlesuit only has to keep out enough radiation to keep the soldier 
functional. If he dies months or years later from exposure, well, people 
are cheap.

War is Hell and machines don't care.
