[KC] Demotion and Promotion

Hi all, If I use Demotion on my opponent's piece (in this case, his Rook) that is on my first rank, does the pawn it demotes to promote? I would think not, since it doesn't say anything about it on the card, but perhaps no one has yet had to consider it? I don't see this specific situation mentioned anywhere on the html pages or in the PDF. Kevin
