If you didn't capture the King or leave him in checkmate, then your move didn't violate the Checkmate Rule.  Looks fine to me.

After following so many of these messages, I think I know the answer, but 
thought I'd check.

I thought I had a great move, ignoring for one turn Uusing Diplomatice 
Immunity) the Paladin on my Knight.  The Paladin was situated so that when I 
ignored the Continuing Effect it could capture my opponent's Queen, but it 
also would have allowed me to capture his King.

I didn't even consider that move, going straight for the Queen. My opponent 
says this is highly suspect.

If I can't do this, how do we proceed? Return the Queen, return my Paladin, 
and forefeit the Diplomatic Immunity since I played it, and try some other 
move?
