[KC] Knightmare Chess Rules Questions

After reading the errata and the FAQ on the web site, I'm confused on two
general Knightmare Chess rules.

First, regarding movement-transforming cards, particularly with reference to
Coup. The FAQ says that the wording on Coup conflicts with Paladin (since
Coup says the piece keeps its original move, while Paladin changes how the
piece moves). Does this mean that *any* transformed piece (crabs,
prince-warlords, etc.) which are turned into kings by playing Coup move as
if they had never been transformed? If so, then since the FAQ also says
that Coup can be played on Confabulated pieces, how does a Confabulated
piece move after Coup is played? What if the Confabulated piece contains
one or more pieces that were transformed before they were Confabulated?

Similarly, if two transforming cards are played on the same piece (e.g. two
or more of Paladin, Royal Knight, and Champion on a single knight) how does
the piece move? In one game where we had a Paladin-Champion, we ruled that
the piece jumped twice in a move and each jump was to the corner of a 4x3
rectangle--is that accurate?

Secondly, regarding suspension of Continuing Effects when their initial
conditions are no longer met. It seems that phrases like "cannot be played
on a king or queen" are considered to be initial conditions (e.g. a piece
turned into a king by Coup has Medusa suspended, a pawn-king that promotes
to a rook or queen suspends Coup, etc.). However, a Paladin changed to a
King by Coup was not ruled to have the Paladin card suspended due to the
piece no longer being a Knight.

Furthermore, are restrictions that a continuing effect must be played on an
empty space (Seat of Power) or on a space containing one of your pieces
(Man-Trap) or when your opponents has at least four pawns left (Scorched
Earth) considered to be "initial conditions?" These cards obviously become
completely ineffectual if they are suspended when these conditions are
violated (Seat of Power is suspended when any piece is in a position to use
it, Man-Trap is suspended before it is possible for it to be tripped,
Scorched Earth is suspended before your opponent can run out of pawns, etc.)
Are there guidelines for what counts as an "initial condition" under this
rule?

Thanks,
Jeremy
