I am familiar with the Deck of the Week site, and a few other resources, but am curious if anyone knows of ideas for demo play decks? (One would think perhaps someone at SJG would have ideas, and I've reached out to some of the MIBs I know). I have a full set myself, minus seven cards, and a bunch of dupes. I'd appreciate any ideas folks have to offer. NB: I got some good general inputs from Kevin Kennedy (duly appreciated) and have some decent abstract ideas of my own; I'm looking more for specific card structure ideas. I also have the opportunity to purchase a bunch of folks' old decks, who don't play anymore, and I'm considering doing so if it would make sense to build demo players their own decks to work with, depending on the cost and likelihood I can get demo players interested. In that case, I'd probably work with some of the deck of the week lists and modify as needed. Apologies for raising the dead here - looks like no updates since 08/08. The winning entry can be found here, and would be a very good (and relatively easy) way to generate a lot of decks without duplicates: http://www.sjgames.com/inwo/persclash.html I hope that helps! Plus all the other cards would make it very easy to not have to worry about the number of cards needed. I have played games against Martin Laerkes and one with?Kevin and did pretty good.? Martin you still stole that one win at the last second which helped make that a game to remember.? I still wish it could have been in person instead of im?but with the 5 of us all being in different countries.... I've been planning creating a really cool themed deck for each of the 11 Illuminati (and possibly 2 homemade ones), and just store each deck in a deck holder. That way, if I was ever headed for a game with the old gang, we could just pick a deck at random and go for it. Unfortunately, I never got past a list of ideas... :/ Someone else mentioned the Personality Clash winner of the SJG competition. I also submitted 2 designs for that competition, and they might be worth a look. The first one works best for 4 players: http://www.plasmoids.dk/13th/perpetualOBD.htm The 2nd one can be played with 3 or 4 players, but the 4 player version is radically different to the 3 player version. This one should be crazy fast paced, to the point where it may not feel much like INWO. Could be fun tho' :) http://www.plasmoids.dk/13th/ascensionOBD.htm Have fun Martin :) _________________________________________________________________ Share your memories online with anyone you want. http://www.microsoft.com/middleeast/windows/windowslive/products/photos-share.aspx?tab=1 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
