[INWO-list] Overpriced Assassins?

I think the designers were still feeling a little burned on the whole
"Reload" issue, although it's been pointed out that the "fix" for the
Reloads were probably a little too harsh... very very few people play with
Reloads now.
Assassins introduced the Zap, Freeze, and Paralyze cards, but they did get
stuck on the cost... and an Illuminati action is just too costly to waste on
most of those plots. From a design standpoint, instead of 10+ plots to
Freeze/Paralyze/Zap every single alignment or attribute, it might have been
more useful to do a single "Choose attribute X" Freeze/Paralyze/Zap, but
then you can't do as many jokes.
How about a new metarule: Your first Zap, Freeze, or Paralyze plot on your
own turn is *free*. Playing any after that incurs the normal cost.
Hmm. Probably not a good idea, because it's still too darned expensive to
get rid of them.
I wonder... the "Truth" cards from BFD (which I may be totally
misremembering) were maybe slightly similar in concept to
Zaps/Freezes/Paralyzes (although generally good rather than bad). I don't
recall what mechanic or cost was used to put them in play, though. I wonder
if a similar mechanic could be uses for some of the Assassins plots. Or did
those require Illumati tokens too?
More like a project for INWO 3.5.
