Hmm, here's a rules question:

Can I attack myself with a non-Instant Disaster (like Flesh-Eating
Bacteria) and make the attack privileged to prevent others from aiding my
Place? If so...

How about a Bavaria deck which has a lot of Huge places? You attack your
own places with strong Disasters, even non-Instants like Giant Kudzu and
Flesh-Eating Bacteria (for its return to hand ability). You have a lot of
protection against other people's Disasters (since there are like a
billion anti-Disaster cards out there.. but Near Miss should be plenty
since you don't really care if your Places get devastated). You aim to
destroy five of your own Huge places and reveal Population Reduction.
However, as a backup plan, you have Unmasked! and Servants of Cthulhu, so
if you only manage to destroy three (or less) of your places, you still
get a major benefit from it.

When you start off with this deck, people would probably just presume you
to be a Bavaria high-power Government deck as per standard issue, but then
you proceed to crazily destroy your own power structure and they worry.
