It... would depend on backstory. A Malakite who Changed during the Fall
_might_ (depending on the GM's take on how such things worked) not have
the Malakite of X Choir Attunement, but instead have a non-resonance-based
Choir Attunement from its former Choir, say. A redeemed might have a
_different_ Choir Attunement for some reason.

A fledged reliever might have a different Choir Attunement if it had
fledged on its own (up to GM if this is possible), and then taken service
or otherwise specifically asked for a different one -- e.g., one that
was presumed to be going Mercurian, had gotten the Mercurian of X
Choir Attunement, and then went Malakite/Ofanite/Cherub/Kyriotate/whatever
for some unexpected reason. It might either have requested to keep its
old Choir Attunement alone, or the Superior might feel "you've got one,
so you have to earn any others, even if this is a little wonked."

I don't think there's any good reason for a normally-sane Archangel to
_not_ give it to a created angel, though, as part of SOP during the
creation. (Gabriel and Eli are the normal suspects, but Yves might
pull a fast one like this.)

Dominic might consider stripping of the Choir Attunement to be a fitting
punishment for some stupid error. ("You, Seraph, have too much Pride in
your resonance. Learn to live with the commoners for a while." *yoink*)
Other Superiors might do that as well, come to think of it.

Ain't forbidden. GM'd have to sign off on it, though. O:>

It'd probably get a "wait, what?" reaction when hearing it for the first
time -- it's not standard, and is unusual enough that the angel in question
will probably be explaining it to any new acquaintances, Every Single Time.
If it was done as a punishment, then there may be some minuses to
reactions. If it's just an oddity, then some very traditional angels might
sniff in annoyance, but others will shrug and go on.

Basically, it depends on _why._

Or so I'd figure.

(The points about having lost one's Physical Object Choir Bennie are
also quite true -- and, again, backstory. A Kyriotate of the Sword who
doesn't have a vessel for some reason? That's rough, buddy. One who
lost its vessel honorably? Them's the breaks. One who lost it stupidly?
Pfeh.)
