The only time we've ever done it was at the climax of Feast of Blades,
which was clearly an "I'm only a servitor; I'm expendable" situation.
We've never regarded summoning Superiors for anything other than a huge
emergency as reasonable practice for responsible servitors. We report in
via tethers or other secure channels; we expect to meet a Superior only
when he wants to resonate us in person, there's something so sensitive
it can't go through the normal hierarchy, or he's bestowing an
attunement or distinction.
