Oh, I suspect any liability would indeed have been quite fairly
parceled out to all three of them...
Of course, if 700's their Triad number, then at some point there must
have been a...
Triad 666
This triad was organized, its portfolio dictated and numbered,
well before a certain unfortunate bit of numerology found its way in to
the Book of Revelations. When people began to look askance at the
triad going about its daily routines, its efficiency decreased.
Judgment needs to be trusted, and the audience of this Triad didn't
trust it. So Dominic switched out its portfolio for an audience that
would.
Triad 666 is now an investigative triad charged with investigating
the Archangel of Judgment.
There are persistent rumors, of which Dominic is well aware, that
he is a Balseraph under the Cloak, that he is unfairly targetting this
or that Archangel, that he works too closely with the Game, etc., etc.
These charges, just like similar charges made against any other angel
or Archangel, demand investigation to the extent of their
believability, with the evidence fairly weighed and presented. Thus,
triad 666 is directed to do so.
Like any other triad, Dominic meets with the angels of the triad
once per week. He asks no questions of them, however; the triad
queries him as to his recent activities, motivations, and so forth. He
is obliged to respond, though the triad has no particular access to
classified information beyond the normal investigative channels. The
triad itself reports to Laurence -- and before his elevation, they
reported to Uriel, doing so up to and through Uriel's trial. Since
Dominic has delegated his role of Superior oversight to Laurence for
this triad, Laurence takes the sign of trust extremely seriously, and
meets with the triad weekly as Dominic would. (This is in addition to
Judgment's usual internal monitoring system.) They remain angels of
Judgment, however, with access to the full array of Judgment's Choir
Attunements, Servitor Attunements, and Distinctions.
The members are:
Seraph: Master of Law with the Inquisitor special Distinction, it also
possesses Judgment's Malakite and Ofanite attunements, as well as the
Heavenly Judgment Attunement.
Cherub: Possessing Judgment's Advocate attunement and Warder special
Distinction, she moreover is a Master of Divine Knowledge with the
Kyriotate resonance, and Judgment's Choir Attunement for that Choir.
This took several centuries to for her to earn, accounting for most of
the delay in the reorganization of the triad.
Mercurian: The lowest-ranking member of the triad holds Dominic's
Incarnate Law and Divine Mediator attunements, as well as the Elohite
Attunement. He also possesses a Scale, which permits him limited
access to the Seraph resonance.
In addition to these resources, triad 666 has original
jurisdiction before the Seraphim Council, bypassing the usual lower
courts, should it ever decide to lay charges and summon Dominic to
trial. Triad 666 also has the right to request any additional
resources from the Celestial Tribunal, with the request being treated
as a combined request from a Judgment triad and a legation from the
Seraphim Council (for which there is a formal ranking system, with the
net result being that requests are fairly evaluated, but jump
significantly in priority).
