Any mention of 7 and metals sort of naturally brings up the fact that
there were seven metals known to most of the ancient cultures in Eurasia
including, I believe, the Chinese. These are gold, silver, copper,
mercury, tin, iron and lead. The last of these to become known to the
Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Cultures was Mercury in about 750 BCE, the
next beyond the 7 was Arsenic in about 1300 CE. I presume then that the
7 choirs in Awase line up with the 7 metals, but I'm interested in how
they line up. I'm not sure that the first mention means that the
Kyriotate is Gold though...
