Sir, I must disagree. The former is true; the latter, not so. Edison
has earned his place in the Bank of Mammon. Edison's genius was not
inventing - indeed, his true genius was advertising. He and his
friend Ford made a fellow inventor's life hell - and out of jealousy.
Tesla is still livid about this - he has often complained to Jean of
Edison's fame in the mortal world.

Edison, for his part, spends most of his time trying to keep Mammon
from turning him into a statue or otherwise making him 'more
valuable.'
