I don't have my books with me, but here's my thoughts on the Malakite issue:
1). As I recall, it's at least suggested that angels have a little warning voice in their heads that tell them when they're *flirting* with dissonance. It's the thing that keeps Seraphim from accidentally saying something that actually isn't true and Traders from squeezing a little too much from the deal; you can ignore it all you like, but that's a choice. And that is really what dissonance is for an angel; choosing to go against your word or your Choir. I'd keep that in effect for a Malakite under this attunement: he'll know that he's about to go dissonant if he does something, just not why.
2). You can make a Malakite forget that he has a specific oath, but probably not that he's a Malakite who has at least four of them. If he suddenly realizes that he has three, his first impulse would probably be to summon his Superior and turn himself in as an abomination. Things go entertainingly pear-shaped from there.
3). Alternatively, you could just make it that the Malakite doesn't suffer dissonance from breaking a vow that somebody forced him to forget. There's potential there for some interesting roleplaying. Or a slaughter. :)
