IN> doping out a new infernal attunement...

I'm trying to dope out a new attunement for the infernal side of the
house. So far, I'm thinking Malphas, Mariel, or Alaemon (in order of
liklihood). I've got some balance worries I can't seem to quite work out,
though.

Broken Promises - at the cost of 3 Essence, the demon can cause a target
to forget one promise he or she has made. The target can make a Will roll
to resist, modified by the level of the promise when considered as a Geas.
Making someone forget their marriage vows would probably rank fairly
difficult.

Now my sticking points. Should this work on Malakim at all?? It wouldn't
break the vow, but it could make them forget what it was. They'd still be
subject to the Dissonance, but they wouldn't necessarily know why. And,
once in Celestial form, they can see the chain corresponding to that
promise; can they determine the vow from self-examination?

Would it work on a Geas? I'd expect so, although it's still a matter of
forgetting it, not getting rid of it.

Would it wear off? My thought is no, although there could be some kind of
breaking technique akin to Balseraphs getting caught in a lie.

For something like marriage vows, would it also cause them to forget that
they're married at all? I would expect so -- and following all of the
ramifications could be a complicated affair. Pun intended.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?
