You have to consider that Michael and -- well, any Wordbound in
general will approach the concept of "acceptable losses" from slightly
different viewpoints. Your Cherub Wordbound are going to be more
agitated about it, your Wordbound Cherub Archangels are going to get
/snippy/ about it ---
And at the very end of that scale, you've got Christopher, a pile of
dead babies, and /three points of Dissonance/ to show for your little
oopsie. Michael publically dressing you down and smacking you with a
desk job for a couple centuries is not going to cool off the Archangel
of Children.
* This holds together only if you accept that Michael's capable of
deciding that a few dead human infants could be an acceptable price
for some tactical or strategic advantage in the War. I think he can.
They'll probably just get another spin on the Wheel anyways, and it
beats the alternative of growing up in a world where they DIDN'T die
for the aforementioned tactical or strategic advantage.
