Capsule Description: Pineapples are the descendents of an ethereal "race" of sentient flora that had successfully transplanted itself to the corporeal plane.  The species had come under sanction by the forces of Flowers and Purity for its habit of preying upon helpless humans and dissolving them for their protein; as punishment, the Host took away all pineapple's powers of speech, movement, and manipulation of the environment. Being nice, they also removed their pain sensors.

Modern pineapples continue to hate humanity and its works, particularly fruit cocktails.  Hell uses up the occasional one as a spy; for that matter, so does Heaven.
