What our unsuspecting minions don't know is the author is a Free  
Lilim, currently enjoying her new found wealth of essence by  
vacationing on a beach in the Corporeal realm.  She hasn't told  
anyone where she's gone but, for a price, a Sister she owes a favor  
to will be happy to lead them to her with her Song of Affinity.   
It'll cost them.  Plus expenses.  Of course, the Song will only work  
on the Corporeal Realm.  But the sister doesn't have a Vessel so they  
need to get her one.  No she's not going to be the one to pay for  
it.  "Plus expenses," remember?  And then there's passage to the  
Corporeal.  And there are a lot of beaches in the Corporeal, so  
that's airfare...

Once the Author signs the book, (You brought a copy?  No?  How do you  
expect me to sign what isn't even here?  Ask my sister here, she's an  
enchantress.  She can make it able to travel down here with you.)  
there are Magpies and Windies and rival Lusties to deal with.  (And  
enchanted book a Demon Prince is interested in?  Get it!)  And the  
Sister isn't coming back, either.  She likes being a beach bunny.  
(Rented Vessel?  Not my problem you cheap bastards.)
