OK, I think I get it (and it alters some of the ideas I've had here for
quite some time). There is a central core of being. Having 3 cel forces,
4 eth forces and 5 corp forces is like having 3 dollars, 4 euros and 5
yen except without an exchange rate.
1)If you don't have any yen, you aren't allowed on the corp plane, but
if an AA gives you a yen, you don't have any problems.
2)If you don't have any euros, you don't have memories and the
unexpected/violent loss of euros can cause issues. What you get if an
entity with no euros gets a new euro is iffy. (giving an Eth force to an
entity without any)
3) If you don't have any dollars, you have a remnant. What you get if an
entity with no dollars gets a new dollar (restoring a cel force to a
remnant) is *really* iffy.
Only 6 of each type of bill fit in your wallet. Superiors have ATMs. :)
However, it does seem that there is at least some aspect in which Forces
do may have meaning. If a corporeal force is stripped from a demon which
causes the demon to lose 3 strength and 1 dexterity, and then that force
is added to another demon, is the new demon going to gain 3 strength and
1 dexterity or can it be another combination of 4 points?
On the bright side, it sounds like Denny the Djinn isn't in significant
trouble with the initial scenario. Not that she cares. :)
