Band Victories

Each demonic band has a different take on the war, a
different utopia to strive for. Further, the current
Bands are only those who are currently common – if one
proves useless, it will swiftly be swept away.
Alternately, as each gains the upper hand, it will
grow in numbers, as DPs find it more useful, and
demonlings see the advantages of choosing it; demons
will even focus on Tripping members of the
corresponding choir, judging it more productive.

Eventually, assuming that Hell wins, a single Band
will shape the future of the Corporeal Plane. Over the
next week, I will explore each victory.


Impudite Victory

Despised and bullied by the other Bands, Impudites
have yet to flex their muscles. Yet they are the most
likely Band to win – their resonance grants them both
influence and access to the effectively unlimited
essence of the Corporeal plane: currently between six
to twelve billion points per day just from humans.
And the weapon that will grant them victory? The Song
of Possession!
Possession grants control of a Vessel for a minimum of
11 minutes.
To enter Limbo – destroying the occupied Vessel, and
allowing the creation of a new Vessel - only takes 5
minutes.
So long as there are Impudites on earth funneling
essence to Takers in Limbo, each possessed vessel can
be exchanged for a new, permanent Vessel crafted in
Limbo.
For Impudites working together, the rest of the war –
angels, demons and ethereal – are just a supply of
Vessels. Impudites will actually *welcome* intrusions
by others!

Of course, vessels owned by other Takers are just as
tempting, so ongoing takeover battles will rage
between Impudite factions. These battles will probably
never resolve; should one faction win, it would
fracture, as the Takers look for a new source of
Vessels.
Meanwhile, Impudites in Hell and the Marches would
scheme and beg, cajole and bribe, desperate to join
whichever faction will deign to take them.

Meanwhile, the Takers are remaking the world in their
image. Humans will flower – in so much as livestock
can. Death must be banished; better to spend a little
essence on CorpHealing and CorpEntropy then suffer
dissonance. No matter that the supply of Damned at
Hell's Gates dries up – why share? The Takers are
happy to leech from the humans on the Corporeal,
thanks.
Further, humans must develop their ability to create
essence; they will be encouraged by 'their friends' to
master whatever skill they are best at – ideally ones
that benefit the Takers in some way. So the arts and
sciences will flower, in a world without war, a world
of fine foods, wines, and parties. All positions of
power and respect will be occupied by Impudites, of
course, but even when not charmed, many humans will
judge that they live in a golden age.
