I'm reminded of something I saw on TV.

DDT had wiped out the bees that pollinated the alfalfa on the open  
Texas range.  Ranchers now pay to have someone bring in wasps in a  
special "hive wagon".  The wasps are moved in at night, and since  
they orient by the sun, they'd fly back to the wagon at night.  In  
the morning they're be in another area, doing it again.
