If it's Jordi doing this, he's gone 'round the bend, because bees are a
vital part not only of the human food chain but the entire ecosystem.
In fact, if you wanted to select just one or two animal species whose
extinction would have drastic effects on Earth's biosphere, you'd
probably look at bees, first and last. Maybe followed by a small
selection of earthworms, but they've got more genetic diversity -- bees
are rather poison- and disease-intolerant, and to the best of my
knowledge there are fewer species of bee than worm.

So, simply because it screws with humanity and the Earth in general so
much, in IN it would almost certainly be a Hellish project. Problem
is, I can't tell who in Hell benefits from such a move. Vapula is
probably the most likely to do it without needing further benefit, as
part of the ongoing alchemy of the Earth. Oddly enough, Mammon could
be set to profit madly from it, if he's invested (previously a
counterintuitive position) in foreign agriculture for export to the
American market; between Colony Collapse Disorder and the mid-continent
late frost this year, American fruit is having a nasty year.
