Easy and brief: there is no "appropriate discord" for this behavior
because it shouldn't be causing dissonance in the first place. Your
game, your rules, sure, but in canon, there's no need whap the
character for discord on top of inappropriately whapped dissonance.
Not the answer you may want, but you did ask for opinions, and there
mine is.
