Some people play games professionally.  They have Destinies and Fates too.
Games are believed by many people to develop Significant Life Skills and
to Keep Children Off The Streets.  Lots of people regard them as socially
respectable.  (There is surely an Angel of School Chess Clubs at least.)
They develop the idea that you should play fair and not cheat, even if
that means you lose, well before you get a chance to win or lose for real.
 At least, they do under angelic guidance.  Demons use them to teach that
winning is all that counts.

I have a theory that Michael's Word was Games before the Fall.  It's the
closest that you get to the character traits he values in an unfallen
world.
