always fun when a casual remark starts a heresy of
this level. Beautiful - and encourages me to post.
Have another attunement:
De Fragment (Sleep series)
Technologists and their pawns normally fall asleep
from exhaustion while working on bizarre projects.
This attunement can be used on anyone falling asleep
in a lab or factory (unwilling targets may make a Will
roll to resist if successful they will waken).
Each concept within their project spawns a figment
(called Fragments by Vapulans) that can discuss the
problem with the dreamer. The number of Fragments
created is set by the demon using the attunement, to a
maximum of the demon's (not necessarily the dreamers!)
Ethereal Forces. Creating the Fragment costs the
dreamer 1d6 Mind hits; this can cause Discord, but the
target sleeps (and continues this Attunement) on
recovering from the unconsciousness of ethereal
'death'.
The dreamer wanders Beleth's Realm, discussing the
problem with the Fragments. The Fragments are obsessed
with the project, and analyze it from their own
perspective (which can get quite creepy with those
based on lab animals). On waking, surviving Fragments
fade from existence but each grants a +2 to the CD of
the next roll related to the project: and a 1 to the
TN!
-----------------------------------------------------
Beleth approves of using this attunement on mortals,
but is paranoid about Vapulans spying in her realm: a
Technologist who steps out of line while using this
attunement is in for a world of hurt. Best to have a
native 'guide' who can ensure you don't go near
anything you're not meant to see.
Cheers, James
