It's the Skills that matter - if the 'talent' is just
in weapons, then they'll be hunters, in Fighting, then
live entertainments, if in Tactics they'll spend their
lives playing/writing computer games.
If they're motviated by bloodlust - tough. They'll
have to learn to behave.
Lilim Victory
For a Band belonging to Freedom, Lilim are heavily
restricted. They are told that it is impossible for
them to Redeem; there has never been Lilim Superior.
Alone of the Bands, they cannot have children of their
own Band. Despite having a human 'mother', they are
forbidden to have human children.
Nor can the sisterhood recruit demonlings cannot
become Lilim, Princes can't create them, there are no
angels who can Fall into the Band. Should Lilith be
destroyed, the Lilim face extinction.
Lilim play their uniqueness as a strength, relying
heavily on their scarcity value. But inevitably,
resentment against their chains must simmer and boil.
How will it express itself?
The obvious answer (from a demonic perspective) is to
rebel against Freedom. Lilim are ideally suited to do
so they are already creatures of debt, and enforcing
dependency and even slavery is child's play for them.
On earth, they can rack up armies of Servants and
minions, geased into deliberate slavery.
Geases have a subtle use that can increase the
dependence of the weak-willed on Lilim. A Servant adds
their Servant level to resist supernatural powers that
would force them to act against their master (LS
p120). So the host of a Shedite might pay greatly to
be made a Servant of the Lilim and then ordered 'obey
your moral code'. Yes - the human is paying geases in
return for the right to become a Servant. How can the
human become a Servant? Well, by freely accepting a
geas that the Lilim spends to turn the human into a
Servant!
And the Shedite hosts aren't the only humans who Need
to serve. Whether seeking a job, to join a gang, or a
country club, humans Need to belong. And by ruthlessly
punishing those who seek independence, the Lilim
increases their power at Lilith's expense. Not a
problem for Gamesters!
Establishing a web of mortal debtors grants the
Tempter power, power that can be used to attract
favors from celestials. Hell expects this, and demons
turn to Lilim when in Need. But unless they're
WordBound, demons don't have a lot to offer Lilim. The
celestials with the cold hard cash that Lilim want are
the Malakim.
A Virtue can swear an oath that binds them *forever*.
Compared to a Lilim's temporary Geases, this is
potent. Of course, they don't normally swear to
demons. But sometimes...
A Lilim who has something that a Malakite wants may
offer the deal, that in return for what he wants, he
swears to kill a demon of her choice once per
month/year/century. The deal would need to be worked
out very carefully, with restrictions on how powerful
the demon is, how much information the Lilim needs to
provide, that the demon be on the corporeal or
ethereal planes, whether Vessel-death or Soul-death is
required, and so on.
The Lilim needs guarantees of safety probably paid
for with information other demons, possibly by her
regularly geasing herself to act in an ethical manner.
Ideally, a Trader will help work out the details. But
once done, the Lilim has a permanent ace in the hole,
a powerful killer to turn on her enemies. Other oaths
of interest would be to rescue renegades from The
Game(and regularly checking whether the Temptress
needs rescuing), or to aid humans in whom the Lilim
has detected a Need for (frex)a noble purpose.
Victory for Impudites came from Limbo; for Shedim, The
Marches to achieve victory the Lilim must turn to
Heaven. As the daughters of a human, the tempters can
argue that they are governed by God's "hands off"
order regarding humans, and offer to help enforce it
in return for being protected by it. As ever greater
numbers of Malakim swear oaths to kill demons for the
tempters, as more and more Lilim Geas themselves to
act ethically, it becomes expedient for Heaven to
accept this.
A Lilim victory is a human victory for Lilith will
inevitably be destroyed with Hell. The heirs of the
Lilim will be the children they have with humans,
using CelFruition. A Song forbidden to celestials, but
if the Lilim are awarded human status, that no longer
matters. And with ethereals and other celestials
driven from the Corporeal, the sisterhood's power will
become ever more dependent on Symphonically Aware
humans.
