IN> Deal with a devil

Tying up the loose ends of the Night Boat game, realizing that the 
Celeste (the ship) is a ridiculously expensive artifact, and wondering 
what would possess (no pun intended) a demon to invest that heavily.  A 
couple theories kicking around.  Then I read "A Bright Victory" and the 
ideas are like a ball on a soccer field.

Is there a demon of The Deal?  Is there one who'd be willing to do the 
whole Book of Job thing?  Lucifer is overkill, but he's the original.  
Again, I don't mind departing from canon, but I like to stick with it 
where it works for the plot.
