Two thoughts here immediately spring to mind...

This artifact seems to actually be something that a Glutton who goes for
quality over quantity would want. Unfortunately, a Glutton who goes for
quality over quantity is halfway to going renegade and looking for Eli.

Secondly, given that we had a Balseraph of Fate (Seraph) turned into a
living artifact, it springs to mind that you would probably get
something like this if you turned an Ofanite of Creation into a living
artifact.
