Having just finished _Ender's Game_ (I know, I know, what took me so
long!?), one could argue that a fight is only "finished" once
opponents are incapable or unwilling to fight back, at the judgment of
each entity involved. Under those auspices, if anyone is still in need
of defense, then the fight isn't over yet.
