Yeah, anyone offering to gamble for their soul is probably going to end 
up in Asmodeus' portion of the damned one way or another...

Not that he could actually win them this way -- the man has no control 
over the disposition of anybody's soul but his own -- but if he were 
convinced they were lost, he'd probably start acting toward them as if 
they hadbeen lost.  That could be enough to make a difference in their 
own choices.  Someone telling you you're damned is likely to get you to 
act as if you're damned.
