was my first exposure to the song, ever, believe it or not.
and that was yesterday!

as far as the character, i maintain that Litheroy was listening
to the song soon after it was first performed and thought it
had a catchy tune... and had need of a new Virtue at the
moment when it was stuck in his head.  the fact that his new
Servitor developed a relationship with an elohite named Joan
studying pataphysics, and that she Fell not long after... well,
Litheroy doesn't like to think about that part.

it is what got Laurence's attention, however, and part of why
Maxwell spends so much time attached to units of Sword
angels.
