thanks, RH, that does help.  what do people think of the vow,
"I swear to leave mortal criminals with a confession of their
crimes for mortal authorities to deal with whenever possible"?

between that and "I vow to always let the enemies of Heaven
know why I pursue them and give each the chance to
surrender before violence breaks out," I think I may be set
for a Malakite of Revelation.  any help appreciated, as i'm
still tweaking things.
