Hi all,

Okay, I'm refamiliarizing myself with the game
mechanics (writing scenarios for In Nomine is my way
of decompressing between bouts of reading for school),
and I'm looking at the skill section...

...and I'm not seeing how to figure out what an
"average" skill rating is. I *guarantee* you it will
be the first thing that my players ask me ("Okay, now
buy your skills." "Uh... what's a good score?"). I'm
tempted to say that a 3 skill is good and a 6 skill is
really good and a 9 is just plain awesome, but I was
wondering if someone had a more, well, better
formulation.

Also, while we're on the subject, surely modifiers for
difficulty go to greater than -2? I feel like I've
got to be missing something here; the bits about how
to use skills seem rather, er, spare. But then,
perhaps that's an observer bias that can be explained
by the fact that I came to In Nomine by way of the
GURPS version... after which, any skill system would
seem overly simplistic.
