When a human becomes Hellsworn, an infernal Force gets added to his pattern.
When a person who has met his destiny or fate dies, he can try to
avoid his celestial destination by anchoring himself to the corporeal
realm as a ghost; in the process, one of his Forces gets bound up in
the anchor, while others may break loose. Each of those "lost" Forces
experiences one of three fates: it becomes a Mirror Ghost, it
disappears to rejoin the ghost when he finally moves on to his
destination, or it is lost to the human entirely.
What happens if a Hellsworn anchors himself as a ghost when he dies?
Will his infernal Force always act as the anchor-point, guaranteeing
that it will still be around when he lets go, or can it be one of the
Forces that can "get lost"? If the latter, there appears to be a
chance - however slim - of a Hellsworn losing that status by becoming
a ghost. There's also the possibility that becoming a ghost will
complicate matters for a Hellsworn who's trying to avoid Hell, by
making it harder - or impossible - for the ghost to _find_ the
infernal Force that he has to purge in order to no longer be
Hellsworn. OTOH, if the infernal Force becomes a Mirror Ghost, then
it becomes possible for the ghost to free itself of its Hellsworn
status by finding the Mirror Ghost and destroying it.
And what happens if the Hellsworn dies without ever achieving his
destiny or fate? Is the ghost option still available? If so, and if
he manages to purge himself of Hellsworn status while he's a ghost,
can he then continue on as a ghost?
