I don't know how well that would work.

Newborns are about eight pounds of mass, or one gallon in volume.  
That's a lot of displacement in a human body.

I don't have my L. Cant. or Core and I can't recall if the song swaps  
mass or leaves a void.

The swap might seem a little less traumatic, but it does include a  
chance of infection from airborne bacteria.
