They can't possess a given host *that* long -- a human can't be driven
out of their body indefinitely, and even a Shedite of the Game's
possession only lasts a few days.
Although the following thought suddenly strikes me. Consider if
you will a small group of humans ready and volunteering to assist
Shedim of the Game. The Shedim have simply lied to them -- they're
angels, you see, and every now and then they need to hunt down this or
that demon which has escape Hell and needs to be brought back. A body
is ever so useful for doing this; would you mind opening your mind to
me on a regular basis? Heaven appreciates your service.
If you'd like to additionally help, why, we can assign you a few
tasks on your own. Occasionally we have to have to separate a demon
from his funds or some allies. We'll need you to do a little property
damage, a little smash-and-grab, a little blackmail... it's all in the
name of Heaven, right? Don't sweat the ethics, you're fighting
*demons* here. Yes, even Habbalah. They're not angels, just crazy.
So you've been helping me out for a while now. We've taken down
some serious, crazy demons together. You're a real pal. This one,
this one could be a toughie. He'll seem like a *really* nice guy. A
doctor, in fact. He's gotten himself a position at a local clinic.
You *don't* want to know what he's been slowly doing to the area's
children. Anyway, he's running for office. His opponent, well, he may
seem a bit smarmy, but he's human, at least. But this first guy, we
can't let him get elected. We need to *ruin* him. We may eventually
need to physically off him. It's Hell, and it's war to the knife, but
I'll understand if you don't have the stomach for this one.
You in?
