I'm not certain I know what you mean.  The "Options"
tab in Yahoo! Mail tells me my messages are being
composed in plain text (because I loathe anything
else), but I am not familiar with the distinction
between 7bit and 8bit encoding, nor do I know how to
change it, despite some noodling around on all the
control panels I could find.  Have my emails been
coming through garbled?  I'm keen to fix this problem,
I just don't know how.
