Well, the bunny rabbit was the vessel for a Ogiel (Worded Angel of War), 
Manipael just used him in the most appropriate way possible. :)

Unfortunately, US President Carter was near the fight.

Especially since Eli is using him for that. Eli on a whim used his 
Malakite of Creation attunement while touching Dominic. He went on 
Walkabout only 3 or 4 years later.
