I'd imagine most Habbalah love playing on humans' cupidity, vanity and
gullibility, and then laughing in their faces when the poor schmucks
find out what's in store for them.  Not that they do it because they
enjoy it, of course.  Oh no.  They do it because God tells them to.

I'm sure this has been thought of before, but what would be different
in a campaign where Habbalah are right when they persuade themselves
they're doing God's will?  After all, no-one gets any direct feedback
from the Creator - except of course for that one Archangel responsible
for putting humans to the test, who doesn't belong to any of the
Heavenly Choirs, but manages to make everyone around him feel calm and
serene.
