I really wish people would cite the page number to this one, because
I am just not finding it and I think it's fanon.

Celestial interference can _screw with_ destiny and fate.

(And while we're here, if people haven't gotten the difference
between the Words (Destiny and Fate) and the human endpoints,
destiny and fate, I'd really, really appreciate it if people TRIED.
If I see it wrong over and over, and let it "not bother me," then
it "won't bother me" when I _need_ to notice it and correct it
in a manuscript. And then I'll be REALLY SNARKED.)

(People who _have_ been trying have my thanks.)

The idea that celestial interference _changes_ destinies and fates
is fanon, not canon, so far as I can recall and research.

The operative data to deal with would be in Superiors 3: Hope and
Prophecy, in the Yves section. In particular, on p. 111 (Destiny and
Choice box), and p. 124 (Pushing the Symphony box).

>From p. 124: "Destiny cannot be forced on people; this pushes them off
of their path and usually ends in losing them to their fate, or
reincarnation at best."

(And, of course, vice versa, but the full Kronos expansion isn't
around yet so that's implied or proto-canon.)

Is telling someone his or her destiny going to change it or force it?
In canon, the "change it" is not used; it's good fanon, it's effective,
and I highly endorse people using it as a house rule.

But in canon, the trigger is if telling someone counts as "forcing" it;
if so, then either the person will manage to rise above that, and make
the choice without coercion, or it'll frotz things up and hey, presto,
you've got a fated soul or a reincarnating one.

One should note that celestial forms don't transmit via the media. Or
the Media, likely. So you only get the actual audience, who -- unless
you're a Superior -- may or may not perceive you.

If you're an angel, you're going to be re-educated about exactly what
this means -- which isn't VOIDING the things, but is actually potentially
_damning_ as many people as you might be pushing the other way -- and
if you don't understand... and don't _Fall_ from the sheer enormity of
what you might have triggered... you're going to be in a world of self-
hurt and guilt.

(If you're an Archangel, you'd best hope that you've really found some
nice little trick with the matter... This is, of course, presuming
that the GM/God doesn't say, "No. Hello, assumption into the Higher
Heavens, and your second in command gets elevated to be your heir.
It worked for Uriel, and it'll work for you.")

If you're a demon, Kronos is going to coldly strip your Forces off in
an agonizing slowness that will last until the heat-death of the
physical universe, and possibly beyond if Kronos is still around.

If you're a Prince, Haa-chan eats you. In chunks. Which Baal cut off and
roasted with Belial's assistance.
