I didn't really like the way that the Wind's area in Heaven was
written, and so I... tweaked it a little. Er.
The Cathedral of the Wind
The Wind's domain is above all of Heaven. Janusians may be found above
the Bazaar, chasing each other through the Council Spires, floating in
lazy hawk-like circles above the Glades, and a thousand other places.
Even the very greatest caverns of Stone may have an Ofanite of another
Word moving amongst the stalactites.
Souls seeking angels of the Wind or casually wandering upwards are
given directions if necessary by means of landmarks on the ground:
"above the highest Council Spire and left past the cirrus clouds," or
"above Coffee Central in the Bazaar - just go straight up." Angels of
the Wind and souls who have made intense studies navigate by a
different means. Those who know how navigate by the flows of aether
above Heaven - some steady, named currents, and more transitory
eddies. A Servitor of the Wind will fling themselves into an airstream
and let it take them where it might. It tends to be the correct way,
and they will navigate by feel if they must. It's considered an insult
to give another Wind Servitor directions via the ground landmarks.
Particular places that the Wind will use as meeting places vary again.
The treetops of the Groves or Glades are considered a "stationary"
home, for the more staid Servitors - one industrious and fast-talking
Power has even 'colonized' an unused windowledge in Judgment's
Tribunal - but even more will find clouds or thermals to toss
(largely-temporary) belongings in. That these often move is not viewed
as a drawback.
The Wind himself has his own Cathedral. Above a section of the Groves
is a wall cloud so tremendous that it almost seems to touch the very
ground and sky both. The area beneath it is often ravaged by the
tornadoes it spawns, though the top of the cloud is snowy white from
the Light of the upper Heavens. A few Servitors of the Wind leave
contrails behind them as they enter and depart, though it is almost
impossible to navigate for any other being. Janus is not always found
there, and though it would be impossible to say what that cloud might
hold within it, an angel could pass within inches of Janus's most
prized Relic and never know through the swirling mist.
