Too random and of limited directionality for demolition use.

They arent.

I'll post a basic image tomorrow.  Should not use too high 
image things... Tiied me down to a specific period in the 
minds of the readers.... Stupid in retrospect.

They are starting with a resource base. And trying to survive with what they
have left.

A short version is that this a kludge of leftovers and remainders.  
They have some biospheres and some machines that can take resources from
asteroids - and iceteroids.
They harvest for scrap.  They try to recycle and make from what they can
scavenge.
And they fight one another over the scraps.
